Believe it or not, black actors in commercials are indeed working. When you see a black person in an ad, they are earning money—compared to recent years when black actors and models were overlooked for their counterparts. Since 2020, it may appear as placation and a reaction of the corporations that use them, but on a micro level, those black actors have been given an opportunity to work. I'd also question the source of your statistics regarding the involvement of blacks in commercials and the representation of ethnicities within the country. Regarding the data, questions like the sample size of the group used, how their races, heritages, etc., were distinguished—did the participants answer these questions themselves, were they marked purely visually, or with a DNA record, etc.? All of these details matter. I say this because being black and Hispanic is not mutually exclusive, nor is being black synonymous with being biracial.
I am curious to know your "race". In such articles, it's mighty insightful to know the writer's "race"—especially when said article concerns America.
